About the Show: Belmont Portrayed celebrates the 40th anniversary of Gari Melchers Home and Studio by featuring works by local and regional artists depicting the buildings and grounds of the Melchers’ country home. More the 50 works by 37 artist were selected by Belmont director David Berreth from 110 pieces submitted by 56 artists. The images range in size from 4 x 6 inches to 2 x 3 feet and include works in oil, watercolor, pen and ink, and pastel, among other media. Cash awards provided by Nicky Seay Charitable Fund will be determined by a public vote in the gallery during the duration of the show, which is on view until April 17. Admission to the exhibition is included with regular museum admission.
