Do you struggle with capturing the beauty of flowers in paint?
Do you want to learn how to paint peonies, zinnias or roses? Then join me, bring your favorite flowers and learn how to create beautiful floral paintings!

This 2-day workshop will help you problem solve painting the beauty and complex form of flowers!

Day 1: Instructor demonstration of a block-in. Students will bring their favorite flowers to paint from (either from life or a photo).Learn about composition, simplifying shapes and creating underlying form.

Day 2: Instructor demonstration of refining a painting and creating a focal point with edges. Students will continue on their painting or can create a new start. Other topics will include paint handling, brushwork and how to critique your own work. Need help with a painting that is a work-in-progress? Bring it to the workshop for suggestions and tips.

All skill levels are welcome! Recommended for ages 14- adult.
We will work in oils, but acrylics and watercolors are also accepted.
Please bring a packed lunch and your own favorite flowers to work from (either a photo or from life).
