Zentangle Spiders

5th Graders enjoyed working on zentangle spiders for a fun October art project.

First the students learned how to create a zentangle  by using a step out box. Then we reviewed the many ways that zentangles can be used to enhance an art project. Next we practiced how to use value to create the form of a simple sphere. In the following art class, we applied this knowledge to create the webs and spiders.
